Watch: We Can Design The Future Of Health at: https://vimeo.com/rippelfoundation/WeCanDesignFutureOfHealth
On October 20, 2020, FORESIGHT and the Rippel Foundation offered a sneak peek at new findings about the future of health and well-being in the United States. Over the past several months, we engaged with thousands of Americans to hear their opinions and insights. Now we’ve started sharing what we learned.
FORESIGHT, a partnership of 17 philanthropies led by the Rippel Foundation, set out to discover what people across the country want for their health and well-being in the coming decades. Life-changing events of 2020 have transformed the way we think about health and this is just the beginning. Major trends and emergent issues like climate change, pandemics, and omnipresent technologies will continue to alter our world in unexpected ways.
We asked more than 7,500 people in communities large and small to tell us their hopes, fears, and aspirations for health in the coming years. We made efforts to include many people whose voices are rarely heard in health debates: Black, Brown, and Indigenous people; folks living in rural communities; and refugees and immigrants.
Watch the recording below of the FORESIGHT team and our research partners at Public Agenda providing the first look at what we learned from these unique public engagement efforts. We can design the future of health—but only if we do it together and listen to people from all walks of life.
